Des, I always admire a scratch build. And this is an extremely good one. It is an absolute masterpiece. I missed the progress the last two weeks and a lot has been achieved in the meantime. Maybe also because it has become summer here with temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius which isn't very inviting for modelling for us over here. But of course when living in Australia and New Zealand it is the other way around  ;).

I will be able to use this build also as a reference for my future Farman HFXX especially for the building order. I was also thinking of first building the wings before attaching the tail, but I should do the rigging of the wings first as well. I'll have to find spoked wheels in 1:72 too, as they really are an outstanding feature on your Caudron G3.

regards,
Ivo

Superb Des. Simply superb! I'm looking forward to seeing you rig the boom.

Cheers,

Chris

I lack adjectives to describe this build.

You are indeed a VERY talented modeler. Thx for this beauty.

Thanks very much everyone for all your kind comments.

I oil painted all the "wood" bits on the booms and tail so now i will wait a few days before I can start the tail rigging.

Just Magnificent Des!

Really enjoying your Caudron build log.

I'm now clearing a path on the runway in Spoked Wheel Shop in anticipation of your incomming Caudron.

Excellent job.

Seeing this model unveil, especially the recent update, reminds me the astonishment I got, when I saw this a/c alive in Le Bourget. So now I can hardly imagine the impression we all will get when you complete the rigging. Absolutely brilliant modelling, Des!
