Ron Kootje has made available these resin replacement engine cowls to suit the Wingnut Wings 1:32 scale Fokker E.III kit, the new engine cowls are ideal for those who want to replace the kit supplied engine with the brilliant Taurus engine. The Taurus engine will not fit the kit supplied cowling unless a lot of sanding is done to the inside of the cowl.





The casting of this cowl is superb, the result is a very clean crisp casting with no flash or bubbles. The thickness of the cowl is only 0.4mm which looks close to scale, it is nearly transparent. The outside of the cowl is very smooth with no blemishes at all, Ron has achieved an excellent result. Detail on the top of the cowl and also around the rear outer edge is very well defined.





The inside of the cowl is nearly as clean and smooth as the outside, very little sanding will be needed to have a perfect finish ready for painting.
