Okay Folks:

I didn't do a build log on this, but; it is pretty much out of the box with the exception of the wing control horns from the WNW NINAK and the Stabilizer Control Horns from the Sopwith Pup kit. The Prop is also from the Sopwith pup, the intakes are from the NINAK. I think they are little overscale, but; it is better than what was there. I used a mix of Tamiya Olive drab and brown for the PC 10, the decals are from the kit. I did redo the instrument panel based on Des's Sopwith Camel tutorial. I am happy with it. The pictures are taken in my front yard looking over the landscape, and my sons diorama of the "Red Pony". Enjoy.

I Sanded down the ribbing per Des, filled the sink marks, I added a little bit to the cockpit in the guise of some framing, a wicker seat, but all is almost unseen once buttoned up.
I would recommend it to anyone, with a minimum of work it turns out pretty good. Too bad there aren't more decal options for it.

Outstanding Camel my old friend. She's a perfect example of how great an Academy/Hobbycraft Camel can be built up straight from the box.Or in this case with the exception of a few spares. Well Done.

Looks very nice. A fine model from a mediocre kit.

BTW, it is a shame that such an a/c as Camel still has not good model in 32nd. All eyes are on WNW

Very nicely done Mark, for a very inexpensive kit it builds up to be a good looking model, and with a little extra work it turns into an excellent model. I like your PC10 mix, it looks very realistic, congratulations Mark on producing a very nice Sopwith Camel.

Hello Chris: I would recommend it. If you ever built the old Revell Sopwith Camel in 1/28, you know what this is about. I did minimal work and am happy with the results. I too like OOB. The only thing that truly needs replacing are the control horns. The spares box or something simple from sheet plastic.

Thanks Bud: Like I mentioned, pretty much out of the box. I wanted a Camel in 1/32nd and finally got around to building this kit. It is not without it's warts but; a little extra effort, and viola!

@Des: Thanks Des, I read and re-read your build log and your favorable comments and results convinced me that it could be done. Thanks for the encouragement through the build log.

@BVB: Bob, I have a shed in the front yard, it just isn't in the picture. I could wire it for electricity and you would have all the creature comforts, well almost all.

@Prez: Thanks Prez, I agree, eyes upon WNW, they did say they were doing the research or words to that effect so.........we shall see. Maybe a Christmas surprise.

@ Steve: Yes, WNW does spoil a modeler.

@ Greg: Thanks Greg, I did some research on what you did as well as far as the interior went. I wasn't near as extensive as you or Des, but did put some framing to capture "the look".

Hello John:

That's the first step, that first start by "taking it out of the stash". Knowing that it isn't the greatest kit, and knowing that you aren't going to spend a lot of time trying to correct every flaw, knowing you are just going to build it, is inspiring. Go for it.
