Beautiful images. As an aside, after seeing those Dr.I's, I'm happier than ever with my streaked paint job on my recent Roden 1/32 Dr.I.

Cheers,

Chris

Hi Guys

It was a great show as usual. I was officially there to do the commentary for the cars on display but for me the highlight was the Thursday prior. I went up to the show with the guys from the Historical Aviation Film Unit, who were doing some air to air video and still photo shoots.  Have a look at their You-tube channel - there is plenty of TVAL footage there.

Imagine the buzz I got when I was able to fly in the back seat of the RE8, and with an HD video camera mounted on the barrel of the Lewis gun I goot to shoot down an Albatros! It gets no better than that! Later in the day I went flying again, this time in the front cockpit of the BE2F. Absolutely amazing!!!

I have tried to attach a photo but I think I have failed...

Thanks Tony for the photo, it worked fine. What a thrill it must have been to be flying in those aircraft, you are one very lucky man, I think all of us here would have loved to have been in your shoes, I know I would.

What an absolutely grand experience that must be to be there live with the melodious sounds and motions. Must transport one to another era.

Thanks very much gents for your collection of images.  :)
