lozenge for 1/72
« on: April 28, 2012, 10:16:10 PM »

I am just about to start a couple of german aircraft which both have lozenge
decaled wings, I would like to get some after market lozenge decals but I'm not
quite sure which type and at what orientation etc.

The kits are both TOKO a Pfalz DX11 and a Siemens Shuckert D111

any help would be appreciated

Almark, Techmod, Superscale etc do them in 1:72, you need 5-colour lozenge.

There is also a guy, Doug Bauman, who prints his own lozenge. He was a member of a couple of other ww1 forums. He made his lozenge available to download or would sell it direct. I bought some but haven't used it yet. Looks very good. You do have to clear coat before using. not sure if he is a member here.

i get all my lozenge from doug baumann, his colors are second to none imho he also adds a subtle texture. he has made them available online as free downloads so if you have a printer and decal paper you can make them yourself. otherwise he will make them for you for $10 a sheet 8.5" x 11" or a standard letter sized sheet. he also does a-h sworl and hex as well as geman marine hex for hb or w4 albie. he also does other things for fun. i recently got him to make me the drogodile albatros ciii decals which he scanned from real photos and modified and sized for my 1/48 s.h. kit. he isnt the fastest to get the product to you but i love the product. i dont buy lozenge anywhere else. and no he doesnt pay me to say these things.
