Your engine looks super Rick. I'm a big fan of rotaries as those cylinder fins are a great canvas for oily, grimy washes, and dry brushed highlights.

Cheers,

Chris

Thanks Chris, I agree 100% about the possibilities of washes and dry brushing. I may Actually go back and do just a little more dry brushing on the fins. I appreciate you following my build.

ok, I have used my mixture on the uppers, then went back between the ribs and the fuselage structure with a slightly darker color. next I will do the pastel thing on the ribs, then apply a slightly lighter glaze overall..... and hope it works as expected  :-\

Wonderfull Rick. Since the triplane will probably be my second one, I will follow your build carefully. It's really looking extremely nice!

Kind regards

Patrick

Hello Rick:

It is coming along nicely.  I like the well oiled look of the engine and your mix of color for the wings and fuselage.  I have a painting of the Tripehound and the artist definitely used a reddish tint to the fabric coloring.  I am looking forward to seeing you progress through the rest of the model.  This kit is on the top of the stash for my next allied plane.

Best
