Trying to complete a Albatros DVa from WnW
« on: April 25, 2013, 05:32:11 PM »
Hi folks
This is the first posting on this forum and for the moment I´m working on a Vignette including WnW Albatros DVa.
My goal is to complete the Wnw (old) Albatros DVa in the Walter Böning´s scheme for some years now but guessing that all Albies from Roden have given me some tiredness off this bird so it had its time on the shelf halfway build.
Then Kellerking realized the mechanic with the Hienecke parachute and an idea for a vignette turned up in my head. So here´s the progress so far and for the moment my brushes are on the Mechanic, when he´s done my attention to complete the DVa and there will be two more figures from Model cellar to go on this vignette.

Cheers

How ever could you tire of Albies?   ;)

Welcome to the forum, Larsa!  It's great to see you here.  That Albatros is looking fantastic and the mechanic is amazing.  I'm going to enjoy following this excellent project.

Larsa, very nice looking vignette.  A lot of detail packed into a small space.  Good work.

Thanks Lance
Here´s a little update on the Albie. I got the top wing in place and will start up the rigging on this afternoon so I hope to have the Albie done next week so the Vignette would be done for inspection to the end off may.

Surprisingly the decals vent on fine without any troubles, even if the decals are top notch I always some stupid things in the process to "f-word" them up.
I did some gentle postshading on the bird and will give it a little bit more when all bits are in  place.
