Neckel's Albatros D.V, WNW 1/32nd
« on: April 21, 2013, 01:21:42 PM »
This one is at the point when discretion seems the better part of valor, so I'm declaring it finished. I described the aftermarket additions and minor scratch stuff in the WIP thread and the only new developments are that I removed and corrected the locations of the turnbuckles on the static rigging from the nose to the vee struts and did some more oil stains and weathering. So, here's the pics:

Truly enjoyable kit and although I'm going to clear my head with a simple 1/48th build next, I'm already looking forward to my next 1/32nd Great War build. Thanks for all the encouragement and constructive criticism you guys provided during the project- I learned alot!

Really nice work!  And subtle too.  I'd always rather see realistic over too over done.  Great!  :D

Very, very nice work; the basic color scheme and measured approach to weathering are a great combination. Congratulations on a beautiful Build.

Simply gorgeous, Vickers.  The wood grain turned out fantastic.

It is one beautiful Albatros! Fine wood and delicate dirt around the engine. Thanks for sharing.
