New 1:32 WW1 figure range
« on: March 21, 2013, 10:54:02 AM »
David Allen from Wings Cockpit Figures has informed me of the new range of WW1 cockpit figures to suit 1:32 scale aircraft which will be available within days. The masters were all sculpted by Steve Warrilow and the casting is performed by Bob Brown of MDC, both are very well known and respected in the industry. Where the figures are ''cockpit'' figures to fit inside the aeroplane, they are specifically designed to fit Wingnut Wings' beautiful models. The standing figures are straightforward - to pose alongside any 1:32 scale model.

The full range of Wings Cockpit Figures are available from MDC online (who do an ecxellent international service) at  http://www.modeldesignconstruction.co.uk/
The new range of WW1 cockpit figures will be listed over the next few days.

If you have any enquiries you can contact David Allen direct at  [email protected]

There will be future releases shortly which will concentrate upon Luftstreitkrafte German Air Service pilots, with pilots to accompany the Fokker Eindecker III, Albatros DV (and D.Va), fokker DVII and LVG Wingnut Wings' models. The 'Fighting Fee' action figures for the Wingnut Wings' FE2b will be released next month.

I will post more details as very become available.

Des.

Oh, man, Des!  These are rediculously good.  I especially like the Fee crew.  I might just have to break down and finally do a dio.  Thanks for posting.
Cheers,
Bud

Nice! Just the thing to add to a simple base, and should get some guys to tune up their figure painting skills. I'm a 1/16th figure painter, so these should be quite a challange for me.

Nice!  ;D

One question: the seat on the DH2 seated pilot picture looks very small compared to the size of the pilot. Is that right?

They do look very nice. My only concern is the in-situ figures will cover up all that lovely cockpit detail.

Need to learn how to pint figures now.

WOW, a great line to be sure! I am looking forward to buying a few of these. I seem to finish figures a lttle faster than Aircraft Models  :-[

Saw these figures today in the flesh at the Hinckley show, the photo's above just do not do them justice, they are superb little masterpieces, the detail being very crisp and sharp.I'd already spent my budget so didn't buy any,but will be ordering some in the future as they will look great alongside a WNW/Roden kite or as standalone pieces.

Yep' I can confirm this as I saw them too - in fact I bought one .... fancied a couple but I was running close to my budget limits too.
I got the LSK02 ... or, the penultimate pic' of the guy in the flying coat adjusting his goggles (£13.50). As Dave said it would make a handsome stand alone piece or equally great as a dioramic accessory.
