Finally, a WWI aircraft site
« on: March 20, 2013, 07:10:36 AM »
My name is Ron Forbes.  I am in Carlsbad, NM, USA. I have been building model airplanes off and on since around 1950 when kits were rough shaped balsa.  When I retired in 2001, I got back into modeling after being attracted by 1/32 scale kits.  After purchasing numerous WWII era kits, I discovered Roden, Hobbycraft and Academy WWI kits.  I recently started purchasing Wingnuts Wings kits and now I am totally "hooked" on WWI aircraft.

Hello Ron and welcome to the forum, so glad to see you here. You have come to the right place for anything and everything there is to know about WW1 aircraft modeling, we have a great bunch of members who are all willing to share their knowledge. I see that you have already started with Roden, Hobbycraft and Academy kits, these are very good kits, but now that you have Wingnut kits you will be amazed at the quality and easy construction of these kits. I hope to see some photos of your work posted on the forum soon and please feel free to ask any questions.
