First of all, I don't know if my question should be placed in this section or in another, if so, please let me know where I should place it.
Now my question is that some years ago I bought the Junkers J.1 by Wingnut Wings from a private person on ebay. In addition to the classic content that this particular kit had, it also had an extra photoetch update kit. This was the photoetch kit by Wingnut Wings itself with code 32501 (0132501P). Unfortunately, it did not contain any instruction manual. Despite all the efforts I have made so far, I have not been able to find one (I could not find any reference to it even in my search on the internet, let alone on the Wingnut Wings website itself). Please if you have any information regarding this please help me. Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi, sturmgeschutzeiii
In the instruction manual, the parts with a yellow square outline refer to the PE parts. Check it out.

Thanks for the answer (Eyxaristo). The instructions that I have. contain only information for the standard small photoetching kit (it contains a few pieces). The one I have has more pieces and their numbering starts after the numbering of the small photoetching kit. I'm sure the photoetching kit I have is some extra edition from Wingnut Wings, but there's no mention of it on the Wingnut Wing site either. Mystery!

Disappointingly I can't find anything on Scalemates. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will pop up!

Hi Zac,
thank you for your answer, maybe if you don't mind, you could drop by the Wingnuts Wings offices and ask them about this PE ;D ;D, but unfortunately they are permanently closed!! ;D ;D. Just kidding, it's a mystery anyway, I can't find any information at all!!

Hi, sturmgeschutzeiii
I assume these are the PE parts intended for the special editions of the first kits. There were photos of these future editions around 2012. These editions were never released. The parts you have are probably from the test runs.
It's not hard to figure out where the PE parts are located, just compare them with the corresponding plastic parts in the kit. For example, parts no. 48 are the engine side cover reinforcements.
A better photo would make it easier for me to identify the parts in the kit.

Hi Spyro,

thank you very much for your continued interest and help. Yes, it is a conclusion that I finally came to, it is the most likely. On the Wingnut Wings site it says somewhere that they intend to make some enhanced reissues of the already sold out kit, but all of this at that time, before they closed permanently. In fact, in the Junkers J.1 section where it shows already built kits, there is one by Richard Alexander which seems to have some extra PE, it is visible inside the engine covers.
It would be a great help if you could help me with the task of where I can place them. Some are completely visible, but in some others I can't figure out where they should be placed or what parts they replace.
Unfortunately the quality of the photo cannot be improved due to the limitation on the size of the photos you can upload (it is around 125KB). If you can suggest another way for me to send you some better quality photos, I would be very happy to follow it.

Apostolos.

PS: Something that reinforces the theory that it's some kind of experimental PE is that if you look at the set, roughly in the center, there's a B engraved, so maybe there's an part A that I don't have. That's why I like our hobby, beyond the construction sector and research, it also has elements of being a detective! ;D ;D

Hi everyone,
an update on the mysterious PE. In fact, it is an PE that was supposed to be included in a future version of the Junkers J.1 by Wingnut Wings. Unfortunately, the company, as we all know, closed down and these future plans were no longer valid.
Now, thanks to the unlimited help from acewwi, I have come to some conclusion on which parts were replaced by the PE and where some others were placed. In fact, acewwi also made a set of instructions, which shows in detail where each part goes. Unfortunately, due to the limited amount of data that the forum allows me to upload, it is not possible to upload this specific set of instructions. However, if anyone wants it, please contact me and I will send it to them via email.
Again I would like to thank acewwi for his help, thanks to which I can use the PE in the construction of the Junkers J.1 that I intend to do soon.
