Multi-Seat 2026 GB - RAF FE.2b A852 Night Bomber WNW 1/32
« on: March 14, 2026, 08:38:13 AM »
Here is my entry to the Forum GB. I plan to build the late incarnation of the WNW kit. BTW, it will be my third Fee and second night bomber - the first one was built right after the kit release in 2011. Then I built Jess, now it will be A852 known from the striking night photo of its preparation for the bombing mission.

The work is already well advanced, the cockpit for the starters.

The mods include the special treatment of the pilot backplate to be able to fill the nasty gaps along its joint with the cockpit rim, addition of two missing control levers - for the engine and radiator shutters and the internal rigging.

Great start on this one Prze  8)

Really interesting to see the cockpit brought to life (I'll copy a few of these pics for reference for when I get around to building a smaller version; much easier to see the bits in colour)

Thank you for supporting with kind words.

The fuselage closed, the seam behind the pilot done. The work on Beardmore underway. Added oil tubes and electric cables omitted by WNW - there will be more additions necessary.

Thank you, Ben and Nigel.

More additions to the Beardmore - cooling pipes for carbs, fuel lines, carb control rods, drainage for air intakes, nuts for the intake manifold connections.

Now I have to paint the fuselage, install the engine and connect the carb and magneto control cables to complete this jewel of the engine.

Wow Prez, you have already built a considerable portion of this model and I have not even started. As usual you work is so precise and detailed - excellent modelling.

Thank you for the nice words.

The fuselage painted, roundels on and subdued. The engine mounted and carbs and magnetos controls connected. Also, the radiator shutter controls which were very vague and had to go during the seam cleaning are rebuilt from scratch bits.
