RWD-13 - Legion Condor (1/72, RS Models)
« on: January 23, 2026, 07:04:19 AM »
The sixth 72nd scale model of a RWD type to my collection.
RWD-13 was a tourist aircraft from 1935, popular in Poland before WW1, and also used in many other countries. Three examples were sent via Portugal to Spain during the civil war and entered the liaison service in Legion Condor in late 1936. The model represents one of them later in service (probably 1937), after they got the green-brown camo.
RS Models kit is not for faint-hearted, a short-run injection with all the vices of this technology. Special problems are with fitting the glass which I did not solved satisfactorily. Not my best effort but I am glad I have it in my cabinet (and there is the second one in the making, I am waiting for the 3D printed engine to show it open)

Beautifully done Prze.
With markings like that, why did they bother with camouflage.....
Thanks,
Allan Buttrick

A just question :-) Probably the markings were added step by step, I assume the large white Xs were not applied at the beginning :-)
