Just a couple more notes on the IBG and actually the Eduard kit also:
1. The Kits contain two versions each of the same canopies. One is for a "Closed" position, and the other for "opened" position. So pay close attention to which you plan to use.
2. Be careful with a lot of the IBG smaller parts. They are close to scale and break easily! The tail wheel strut is an example!
The D-9 final finish is basically MRP clear coats over the RLM 83/82/76 and white Aluminum paints by MRP. Oils for weathering.
The Eduard kit was RLM 74/75/76 by MRP with Tamiya clear coats used to seal the Oils and Paints.
Zac, I hope this has helped you with your questions about the IBG kit. It is really quite nice and well designed. I would actually be tempted to do another under the right circumstances. I have knowledge of the difficult parts and how things work now which would help!
