Loving dropping into this thread when it updates Gary - Visually your builds have a lovely sense of artistry and the painting is so neat

Looking forward to the next stage  :)

Nigel & Paul, thanks for dropping a comment - much appreciated!

I'm at a stage now on the motorcycle that says "stick a fork in it" since it's getting more & more difficult to handle the model without damaging either it or the paintwork. And just repaired the tiny mounts for the headlamp which were broken without me knowing how or when...just saw the lamp supported only by it's electrical lead, sitting crookedly. I've added a few weathering touches and am continuing to battle with the figures!
Cheers!

That looks sooooo delicate you only have to look at it 'hard' to break something  ;D

Lovely finish Gary. Holding my breath that it all stays in one piece

Reminds me of my Dodge Dart back in the late 60's  :P
Stunning and realistic artistry as per, Gary.

Thanks Warren, Paul and Nigel (again!).

This one is done and here are a few pictures. I have to admit I struggled with the figures...partly because I can never get a proper brown look to the uniforms. I ended up thinning down Vallejo Model Color English Uniform 70.921 and airbrushing that, then trying to work in some shading, highlighting & texturing.  The whole vignette sits on a 17X17mm square base, so quite small.
Cheers,
Gary

You don't struggle with the figures Gary. They are the best in the business. Fact.

A superb job all round Gary. I really like your approach to finishing and weathering the vehicles. They look well used and realistic without any of the over the top effects that seem so popular these days. Very inspiring to us more "subtle" modellers..... The figures are very nicely handled and work well with the vehicles and the ground work is excellent as well. Everything comes together in a superb vignette, well done. And you are quick as well!

Thanks Nigel - I had a few options kicking around for figure arrangement, but was lucky to have my second set of eyes (and better half) help with the final layout and decided that three figures was going to work out better than four  ;)

Thanks Warren - you are very kind. But I still need to learn more about texturing my British uniforms!
Cheers!

The tones on the soldier's faces are incredible.

I really dig the aesthetic of these clunkers, as well as the colors and hues. The sidecar bike is top-notch too.

Well that one turned out beautifully Gary and unbelievably quick  :o
I'm envious of your ability to knock these creations out so regularly - do you never sleep? ;)

Have a great Christmas and I, for one, am already looking forward to what you produce next

Paul - luckily I'm retired and try to glean as much modelling time that I can squeeze out of a day. I probably should spend more time on each project and fine tune the figure-painting for example...or add more detail & components to the groundwork. But I'm always looking over my shoulder at the next project and anxious to get on with something new  ;)
Cheers!

Thanks so much Steve - it's good to hear from you! Hope all is well out east...as we've been shoveling snow constantly for weeks out west :(
