Fokker E.III
« on: October 16, 2025, 02:46:31 PM »
Hi!
I finished these two airplanes. I took the Valom 1/144 scale models, modified them quite a bit, and a lot of scratch. The Valom base is correct for this scale, the plastic is a little too thick, and needs thinning. The resin engine is poorly cast, and even wrong, the etched parts are made a little clumsily. The decals are thin ? good, but the glue is very poor (I thank V?clav Lomitzka, VALOM, who sent me another set of decals without any problems). The result is a bit more like that, but I learned, the next one will be better.
Greetings

Amazing, I wouldn't have thought they were 1/144 if I had just seen the pictures.

I agree with Alan: even in the first WIP pic, with a coin, the parts look like 1/72. Bravo on some very fine work and a lovely display!

They look incredible - especially in such a tiny scale.

Very impressive!... The cockpit and tail skid assembly's look very complex but not oversized for the scale.  Really like the paint scheme of the gray/green E.III.

My eyes hurt even looking at these in this scale.... Amazing scratchbuilding and detailing - excellent in every way.
