Cost of paints
« on: July 03, 2025, 10:10:54 AM »
Hi all,
I hadn't realized just how relatively expensive modelling paints are.
A 10ml jar of Tamiya Clear Gloss acrylic is around 2 (GBP).
That's an equivalent 200 (GBP) a litre!!!!

Makes you think,

Mike

Hi Mike,

Funny you should start this thread, because I was just looking at how much paint I still need for my "Beast", and it's going to be pretty costly.

In our defence, if the Wife raises her eyebrows about the price of our model paint: a litre of Chanel no 5 would cost about 1,750 pounds.

So I think we have a pretty good selling (or buying) argument here.

 ;)

I think she'll point out that she doesn't airbrush herself all over with the Chanel, Willem. Or maybe she does of course!
