Dave Wilson started this "Nostalgia Board" forum here on October 15, 2019 with these words...
"...Members are invited to share their memories of those early kits, show us any photos of your early builds and
for those doing a nostalgia build and re-making the models from your youth, this is the place to share your work. This board celebrates all models from our youth, with a
focus on WW1 but covering everything else too."
I was looking at and thinking about the early Monogram 1/48 scale aircraft I built as a kid and was wondering if anyone would be interested in a short, not-to-crazy, OoB ('cept for decals) group build. I'm sure many if not all have these in our stash and they will never get built unless we tackle them here.

This really started to fester when I discovered a John Wayne movie that has a Kingfish appearing as a Jap float bomber and thought it would be an interesting addition to my "Hollywood Air Force". "They Were Expendable". Kingfishers were "bombing" but with no bombs or racks. (after about the 6min mark.).

I didn't have a Kingfisher but evilbay had one for $8.00, tracking says it will be here Wednesday.

Remember, we used to build these complete in about 3 days....
I know summer is busy and there are other GBs and family commitments but was just testing the decal water so-to-speak.
Let me know your thoughts.....
