Ciao from Italy
« on: May 13, 2025, 06:07:22 PM »
Hello everyone from a "young guy" who just retired. I am from Bassano del Grappa, Italy. Many years away from this world, I do not know many modeling techniques, I have to learn to use the airbrush etc. but I have always loved the biplanes of the great war.
I have always thought about the pilots who fought over France, but now I have discovered that my skies have also seen young heroes, Josef Kiss, Francesco Baracca and many others. I have 1/48 kits of Phonix DI and DII, Albatros DIII Oeffang, Hanriot Hd1, Niuport. Also many English and French with their Sopwith Camel have flown on these skies, I like to remember them and hope for peace...

Welcome! Making models and learning history is a great way to spend retirement, that's the way I spend mine  :)

Hello and welcome to this wonderful gathering of like minded model makers/Historians.
I hope you enjoy your retirement and may it be a long and productive one.

Talking of Baracca,
I designed this t-shirt and had it printed. Looks great.

Cheers,
Bob
