Aviattic Pfalz D VIII
« on: March 25, 2025, 04:46:28 AM »
Hi Friends,

I completed this Pfalz D VIII of the Jasta 14 in the last few days. I found the bracing the most difficult part, for this I have 1/48 gas patch turnbuckles and rigging twine. Some things still need to be corrected, but it's good enough for me at the moment.
I hope you like it.

The Siemens Schuckert D III was similarly designed. This is the Roden kit, built at least 15 years ago...

Cheers

Joerg

That is absolutely spectacular, Jorgo. The rigging is perfectly done (especially with the 1/48 turnbuckles) and I can see where you've added a few additional details. The propeller looks fabulous, and that scheme is very striking. Beautifully photographed, too!
Cheers,
Gary

Superb job Joerg. Great work all round and I like the scheme you chose. The interior looks fantastic, the detail painting is really well executed.

That is another spectacular model. The interior details, rigging and overall finish are excellent.

Beautifully built Pfalz D.VIII, Joerg.
I also like the propeller very much, it looks quite convincing and real.
Nice picture with the Siemens Schuckert - two powerful motorized interceptors at the end of the 1st World War.
Too bad the engine was of such poor quality back then.
