Sopwith Camel in Belgian service
« on: March 03, 2025, 02:25:03 AM »
Wingnut Wings Sopwith Camel F.I in the markings of Belgian Ace Jan Olieslagers. The decal set and masks for the cowling are from the Aviattic line, tailored for the Camel.

I shall never forget my admiration for that German pilot, who single handed, fought seven of us for ten minutes. I saw him go into a fairly steep dive and so I continued to watch, and then saw the triplane hit the ground and disappear into a thousand fragments...James McCudden

Superb work Kreston, this looks really good. I have a set of the Aviattic decals waiting for my Camel, this build really makes me want to get that off the shelf!

Nice and colourful. Thanks for sharing. And it reminds me that my collection of 120+ models of WW1-relataed subjects is still lacking a Belgian marked type... Shame on me.
