Nieuport XI J M Navarre 1916 CSM 1:32
« on: February 10, 2025, 08:02:32 PM »
Just completed this lovely easy  build of CSM Nieuport 11

Not sure the Linen is a bit dark but, you live and learn.
Should have Tarascon's livery up in a few weeks with the CSM figure( already painted)

Tamiya, printink ink and Alclad paints

Figure from CSM in oils

Good to see you posting on here David. Lovely job all round on this one, great job on a great kit. The Navarre markings look great and the presentation is excellent, you certainly captured that intense look on Navarre's face. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the Tarascon version.

Superb job! The Nieuport is convincingly finished, the ground work is as realistic as it gets, and the figure is a little gem. Love it.

Cheers

Masterful, a work of art, plane and figure as well.
And much appreciated, this is the scheme I intend to do myself  ;)

Do you really think the linen's a bit on the dark side? I find it hard to tell with fabric material, working from old photos and when actual shades must have varied. Personally I still haven't settled on a 'go-to' paint for 'linen'!

Thanks for showing it!
Mark

Wow beautiful build on this! I like the color for the linen even if darker than usual - possibly it has seen a lot of action and has flown through soot etc but it contrasts nicely with the bright national colors. The figure is exceptional - the face in particular is superbe - congrats on such a fine result!
