Thanks, Nigel, Edgar, Todd and WD, much appreciated.
Edgar, thank you very much for your help, these were exactly the questions I had been asking myself. Luckily I can now complete this in time.
Cheers

The wings of the Nieuport were not translucent, so the ribs are not particularly visible. That's why I tried to only subtly hint at the ribs in colour.
Firstly, I masked them and then painted over them with a highly diluted mixture of Tamiya smoke and clear orange.

Nicely done, Joerg! That is a lovely cream shade.

Nicely done, this needs to be subtle IMO if you are trying to replicate the real thing (which you clearly are!). I am really enjoying your build.

That shade of yellow is beautiful indeed (which paint did you use?) And the subtle tracing of the ribs is astonishing!

Thank you all for your kind comments, much appreciated !
In the meantime, some progress has been made. Engine and and the necessary wing struts prepared.
The assembly of the struts and the upper wing was a simple matter, a jig was not necessary and the whole thing was completed in half an hour. This speaks for the high quality of this CSM kit.
Cheers

That's looking really good Joerg, it's coming together really well. Thanks for the help and information you gave me btw.
I am glad so many of these kits are being built to such a high standard, it's a great advert for CSM.
