[WnW] Roland DVIa 1:32

Hello!

Just bought at the CAMO75 club (my club) sale and immediately opened, this box :



It's my first kit from this brand (I missed out on stocking it when it was still in business, finding the purchase price close to exorbitant at the time. Since then, the price of our models has risen at a rate that would frighten Argentina's inflationary curve, and I feel like such a simpleton ...  :()

Anyway, I opened the box, marveled at the quality, and started imediately assembling the engine, which needs some aditional details :





I'm thinking of doing the Box art livery:

What a great start! The engine looks amazing with the added details  ;D

And you got very lucky with the kit - it's one of the most desired and rare to catch. I got the D.VIb in the stash, but took long time to find it  ;)

in the end, almost everything will be hidden if I don't fit the top panels of the bonnet.

Cool engine; shame if it'll be hidden, but then you've chosen a great colour scheme to go with it  8)

Great progress. Great choice for the colour scheme, too.

I have a question - those additional bits to Mercedes, especially those for the carburettors and magnetos controls - is it an aftermarket set or scratch?

The fuselage is almost ready to be closed










 I still have to fit the seat with its harness and a add few other details and I'm done.

Lovely work on the interior. It is interesting that you painted the fuselage halves before assembling them. I guess with the planking on the fuselage sides, this approach would work for this aircraft....?

The interior looks amazing with the engine and all! Also the wood details!

Painting the fuselage sides is something I've been thinking about after my Dolphin build. Some area are just so difficult to mask than maybe its easier this way around. Then just touch up a few areas afterwards.
