The work is being developed slowly but steadily, we built the beach maneuver car and built the struts with the help of the jig and using plans and photos to determine the positions of the struts.

The techniques are the same as always, we use contact glue to anchor the struts and then apply a layer of CA glue to fix and weld the structures between the wings, always checking the alignment.

Next stage: support struts and beginning of engine construction.

This afternoon I completed the construction of the tail struts, they still need treatment and painting. Now I dedicate myself to engines that are quite detailed.

Interesting to see this project come together.

No chance to assemble this without a jig, so it is nice to have one included.
Have a few of his kits, but do not like his strange scales "to fit the sheet".
Regards Joachim

Very impressive work so far. But those engines look very challenging......

Yes the jig is fundamental to the general construction of the model, even though the struts are aligned at 90? in relation to the plane of the wings.

The designer of these models, Aaron Murphy, has a predilection for large scales, but doesn't care much about standardizing the scales. We ended up having to discover them and reduce or enlarge them to standard hobby scales.

Thanks Joachim!  :D

After a few days away due to problems with family that fortunately were resolved, we returned with the Curtiss H-16, at the moment we are building the engine with its gondola and struts, due to the amount of parts, it is by far the most complex job so far, ( took up a good part of this Friday - today is a holiday in Brazil). Now we will go to the other side, to finish this step.

Many thanks!

Indeed, becuase the small side of pieces (many are a pain for folding and forming) and samll area of gluing, takemany hours between gluing and dry subsets. :)

With Saturday being the wife's birthday, I had little time to model. But I started to build the elements of the second engine. It is important that the struts are already built together with the main parts of the engine, this makes it easier to complete the stage.
