As high-tech as warfare has become, we're back to the days of balloons being used to spot enemy artillery across the lines... only this time, the artillery is drone controllers and the spotter is an advanced SIGINT suite of electronics.

Very interesting. I am surprised they work at that relatively low altitude. I wonder if there are/will be balloons that operate at high altitude bearing in mind they can go into the stratosphere.
