Knoller C-II from Answer ModelArt in 1/33rd Scale
« on: July 03, 2024, 02:17:59 PM »
Hello All,

Well the recent activity with the Phonix really made my WWI paper modeling juices start to ferment.  I'm currently working on a paper Me-410 but I'm really missing the WWI machines so this is my next one!  I even sprung for the pre-cut laser parts.  Very little rigging on this and nice detail so it should be a looker when done.  It'll be company from my Lohner and DMpopa's Phonix!

Starting this one soon so stay tuned...Dan

Why are paper models 1/33?

I think it's a metric thing and since these were started in places that use this system, it made the most sense.  They are so close to 32nd that I routinely use 32nd figures, canopies and decals.  Works out great!

Ha, ha!  I'm only doing this one since it's got laser parts and it should go pretty fast as I build it along with that WWII infiltrator!
Thanks, Gene...Dan

A very attractive subjetc.

I even sprung for the pre-cut laser parts.
Isn't that cheating.....? ;) ;D

Why yes...yest it is... ::) ::)  It's still a paper product and it's a guilty pleasure!  The ol' Me-410 is kicking my posterior so this will be a nice break.

Thanks, Rick!

Here is a VERY modest start...but it's a start all the same.  A bit of confusion on the instructions and the forward formers are more complicated than necessary but I think we are on track.

Stay tuned...Dan

Thanks, Alan.  I like it too and I'm not sure I've ever seen a model of it at least a main-stream one!  We'll see how this guy turns out.
Thanks for your support...Dan

Now that I looked...there sure are some models of this plane.  Planet Model and some others.  Plus a real one to look at too!  I should check before opening my big yap.  ::)

Thank you, Rick!  Slow going, but starting to get all the little things into the side walls.  Lots more to go!
