And we're away folks! Start posting your build logs as new topics within this board, even if it's just a picture of a kit in the box to start with.

I'll be sharing the link to this board with Dave's family, so they can see the progress you are all making in Dave's honour.

Let's do Dave proud!

Cheers,

What a great idea of a tribute to Dave!

Camel will be put aside and instead I will join the group build with Oswald Boelcke's Albatros D.II.

Here a photo to prove the build has not been started yet. :)

Cheers

Sorry to be late to the party Brad, but I have been seriously distracted from modelling recently and am bogged down in the Short S38/Hibernia project which is well under way and not an appropriate subject. Normally I do not like building two projects simultaneously as I get confused and make more mistakes than ever....

However this is a very special time so I am going to start a scratch build of the DFW B1 Mars: I may be a little slow until I can finish the Short project, but when that is complete I will be able to devote my entire attention and hopefully finish well before the deadline.

Stephen.

As related elsewhere I've had a severe loss of modelling mojo but I am determined to be a part of this. I have an idea for a build but need to get my finances in order so I can make it happen  :)

Hello all,

We are now halfway through the group build, and there has been some amazing levels of participation to date. Thank you all so much for enthusiastically being part of the group build and paying tribute to Dave.

If you've completed something for the group build, there's still plenty of time to build another! Or if you are still not sure if you want to be part of it, there's still plenty of time to get amongst the action.

Thanks again all, let's keep this one going for the second half!

Cheers,

Thanks for the reminder Brad. I'll put my Fokker EIV in the group build as well, as I plan to have this done before October 31st.

Hi everyone!

Welcome to October - we're now entering the final weeks of the group build, so it's time to head towards the home stretch (or, if you are suitably brave, see what you can start and finish in the next month).

Thanks again to all that have participated - Dave would be proud!

Cheers,

Fingers crossed for all who are still to complete their builds.

Brad, I think it would be fine to compile a final gallery with photos of all the completed builds - to truly commemorate our beloved Dave.

I also agree with Prz. That would be a good idea. I just hope I can finish mine on time!

Hi gent's - that's definitely the plan. I then intend to send a link to the final gallery to Sally (Dave's Wife) and Royce (Dave's Son), so that they can appreciate the respect we all had for Dave.

I feel awful I?ve not been able to do much on my entry for various reasons, but it has been so wonderful to see so many wonderful builds in Dave?s memory. Bravo everyone!

Hi everyone - apologies I have been a bit quiet of late, thanks to His Majesty's Royal Australian Flying Corps, I am in the middle of an interstate house move which is consuming much of my time and energy (and will do for the next few weeks).

A friendly reminder that there's only a few days left of the group build for those that want to do a final 'push' on their projects. It would be great to maximise our completions for this group build; you can do it!

Once the group build ends on 31 October, i'll look to compile a post of the completed entries so that I can send a link to Dave's family, both as a sign of our support, and so that they can appreciate the impact that Dave had on us all.

Thanks again!
