WnW Sopwith Snipe 1:32 scale
« on: February 11, 2013, 04:00:55 PM »
My kit arrived today so I have decided to get straight into it. I will be doing mine with the Soviet markings, just to be different. First look at the kit revealed another brilliant kit from Wingnuts, the amount of detail is outstanding, and the mouldings are very crisp, clean and free of any flash. The parts I have removed so far did not require any clean up at all and fitted their respective locations perfectly, I can see I am going to have a lot of fun building this model.

You sure can Pete as soon as I have something to show. I have only base coated the timber for the cockpit and will be adding the oil paints later tonight.

Hello Des:

I am looking forward to seeing how this turns out.  I told my bride she could get me one for my birthday.  Nothing special, just the Snipe.

Best

Once I get some of my far to many *in progress* builds out the way I may choose to do one of these in post war livery.

Like others have stated, I sure wish that WNW would've included markings for R. E. King.  The Russian option is an interesting one though and I'll be looking forward to seeing your build log.  I like the late version, post war schemes as well.  Then there's this old favorite "What If" from one of the first LP's I ever bought.

This will be a fun build to watch, as are all of your projects.  I'm especially keen to see what you do with it since I will be getting mine today or tomorrow.
Cheers,
Bud

I was going to wait a while, have just a few in the stash...........but the early version is playing on my mind. Guess it would be less stress all round if I just ordered one, willpower not being one of my strengths. (and "what if" it's a short run and goes OOP?!) ::)
