What a magnificent build of a difficult model.  I agree the cockpit is very busy and the fit is not the best.  But as you have demonstrated, it builds into a beautiful kit.  Very well done.

Glorious model, AJ. You obviously have a real aptitude for WWI types - please don't be tempted to something easier, think of all those other marvellous Sopwiths and Fokkers crying out for your attention!
Cheers

Thank you very much Sandy, Andreas and Bob  :)

Haha well I did start the Border Model 1/35 FW190 - its a very nice kit. Very impressed with the engine build. Also have a M103 tank ready for paint.

However with 40 or so WNW / CSM kits in the stash I will definitely have to build a few more WW1 subjects  ;)
Really want to try a CSM kit next... Maybe the Nieuport XVII Late.

As someone who is very curious about Border's armour-scale aircraft please, please share your build in The World of Scale Models section of the site!

really well done!  I like the subtle weathering.  I really like the base too.  I saw (in the build log?) the step-by-step process.  It was pretty involved.  The base turned out REALLY nice.

Thank you very much Paul  :)

I did have fun building that base! Think I should start doing it for more of my finished builds. I just get distracted by the next shiny kit in the line  ;D

A bit late to the party here, but I have to throw in my congrats on an absolutely wonderful looking build - congrats! The overall build and finishing looks superb, and the base is exceptionally well done.
Cheers,
Gary

That is just stunning; a masterful build. The oil work on the fuselage in particular is something that I can only strive to emulate. Amazing work, sir!

Cheers,
