What a year so far
« on: July 06, 2023, 03:02:15 AM »
After the quintuple heart bypass in November 2021, I had hoped for better health news this year. So far, since December 2022, I’ve had a right knee replacement, vascular bypass in the left leg and am awaiting a surgery date for the same thing for the right leg. Of course these all were accompanied by angiograms , ultrasounds and other assorted tests.

For all you younger members ( I’m almost 70), don’t neglect your health!

Here's hoping that after the surgery on the right leg you will be spared more hospital visits for a few years.

That is a steep hill you've gone up!! At least with all the new parts you're as good as new. Glad you've made it through all this and can tell us about it.

Thanks all. Just gotthe news at the wound center that my pinky toe on the right foot is slightly gangrenous. A result of no blood flow that the surgery will hopefully fix. Now if only I can get a surgery date, things would look better.

Well, the right leg bypass is done with minimum of drama.  The right little toe will be amputated on Tuesday. Apparently there was worms or maggots inside that has since been cleaned. On Wednesday, the vascular surgeon will be doing an angiogram on the already bypassed left leg. He wasn’t happy with the way it was working. Might have to do a stent. Could be going home on Thursday or Friday. Since checking in a week ago, most of the pain has gone away.

well, I’m home from the hospital at last.  Another leg vascular bypass, an angiogram in the other leg to catch a blood clot and a little toe amputatation. Who says Summer means fun?
Thanks for all your best wishes and prayers.
