Young Miniatures 1/10 scale WW1 German Stormtrooper bust.
« on: June 02, 2023, 06:49:24 AM »
While waiting on some key ingredients for a future aircraft build, I thought I'd re-visit my last WW1 1/10 scale bust in the stash bought a couple of years ago. This is Young Miniatures WW1 German Stormtrooper. I started out painting it in airbrushed Tamiya acrylic, and finished it using Vallejo acrylics with a touch of silver enamel and oil paints. A small, fun project and only a couple of weeks to complete.
Cheers,
Gary

The eyes and the lips are done very well - striking!
The texture of the satchels hanging around his neck is extraordinary.

Good grief Gary, your modelling skills always impress but your figures are in a world of their own, simply mind bending! This one is strikingly lifelike, I have to say perfect and an outstanding example of the modeller's art.
Cheers,

My sincere thanks to everyone for the very humbling remarks - I'm very appreciative indeed. I've been trying to improve my skills with the figure painting and hope to continue to learn with my next one. But now it's on to another WW1 aircraft build, which I can post some photos of soon.
Cheers,
Gary

I belong to a modelling club who's figure painters are among the very best. I did not know that you were one of our members Gary! That is so realistic I can almost here him talking German.

My girlfriend asked ( and I'm curious too): how tall is this bust, Gary?
