New Guitar amplifier
« on: April 19, 2023, 07:44:36 AM »
I'm aware that a few of the forum members like to noodle a bit with guitars, so wanted to mention that I've recently picked up a very interesting little electric guitar amplifier. This little amplifier is a Positive Grid "Spark Mini", which is battery powered and 10Watts. Very portable. Used in conjunction with an app on a phone or tablet, and communicating through blue-tooth many amplifier/pedal configurations can be selected and the sound is truly remarkable, and really good sound for a little thing. A very versatile bit of gear. Depending if you want clean, distorted, rock, blues, metal there's many choices for your style. Good thing I've got a few modelling projects on the go to give my sore fingers a rest  :)
Cheers,
Gary

Now you can go busking to pay for more kits  :D

I play the guitar badly  :P

What kind of music do you play?

I know you're a Tull fan so Aqualung must have run through this little guy. That's handy for grab and go playing!
(BTW did you know the Eagles ripped off "We Used to Know" for Hotel California?)

Ha! I'm an embarrassingly poor player, so busking would get me laughed off the streets  ;D My genres vary, but 60's and 70's rock is my favourite. Since recent retirement, I've picked up the guitar more often, and always try and attempt something I've liked in the past. Working on Journey To The Center of Your Mind by the Amboy Dukes from 1968 right now, for example.
Cheers,
Gary

Yes, Steve - I did try a bit o' Jethro Tull yesterday  :D. One of my favourite Tull songs was Things we Used to Know (40 years ago) and I bought a WahWah pedal because of that. So when I heard Hotel California, I made the comparison right away. Certainly not an Eagles fan...they are too mild for me...no edge  ;)

As Nigel Tufnal would reply, yup - mine does  ;)
