More eye problems
« on: April 01, 2023, 01:39:02 AM »
Well, the left eye pressure has remained stable but I am permanently 95% blind in it. No problem, I still have my right eye right ? My ophthalmologist informed me today I have the beginning of a cataract in my right eye. F me. I know cataract surgery is very straight forward now but still.....

Not good news Steve. I hope that if the cataract gets worse you will be able to get it operated on quickly and successfully.

Stephen.

Sorry to hear that too Steve,

Getting old’s a bummer.

Best of luck,

Hi Steve,

had this surgery two yeas ago, I was very afraid of it and it turned out absolutely well.
Afterwards I was surprised how light and and how blue the world was! Had the other eye
done about half a year later, and the little coward asked for it!

No reason to worry.

All the best Joachim

I had a 'map dot fingerprint dystrophy' which gave me a blurry right eye and was advised surgery was necessary - which I did not look forward to. However, a painless operation and a couple of days of minor discomfort later, my eye was back to 100% of its previous vision.
Terrible about your left eye, but an op on the right eye, if needed, will be nothing to worry about, I'm sure.
Hang in there, mate.

Oh, I really feel for you and the loss of eyesight!
Of course a cataract operation becomes a bigger worry when you only have one good, but statistics are in your favour here. It shouldn't be anything but a success.

Best whishes!
/Fredrik

Thanks for the positivity. It's what I need. For some reason while they were doing surgery on the left eye they did the cataract procedure as well, not sure why because as I said I cant see out of it! $$$ me thinks
