Brilliant work so far - really love the simple idea of using blobs of glue to simulate the access hatches on cowing.

I agree with Dave. Nice idea using glue for the access hatches. Gives a convex surface instead of my flat punched discs.

I just went through the build to date. Your adapted Harry Woodman methods and general scratchbuilding is awesome! Your Albatros is looking Fantastic. Very Impressive.

Hello again!
It’s been a long long time, but my participation in the Dave’s memorial group build has given me also the added impetus to get this one going again. So here’s the situation now:

I won’t bore you here with the details about construction, as it’s all the same methods as in the Albatross C.V/17 thread in the aforementioned group build.
Cheers, Skyhook

Lovely work, I've become a fan of the J-types after discovering the books from Aeronaut on these aeroplanes. The Albatros looks fantastic!

Brilliant! I love these large ground attack aircraft, it's great to see them modelled, especially as nicely as this.

Thank you very much, Gentlemen! Your kind comments are warmly received
A little progress with the J.1. It now has a propeller in place. Next the radiator, rigging and armament for the observer. Plus a few minor details…
Cheers, Skyhook
