Albatross J.1. 1/72
« on: March 27, 2023, 04:21:42 PM »
Hi again after a few months.

I’ve been busy with other things lately and my modelling has consisted mainly of putting together some 1/72 kits, which have been lying around for years. But now i have found time to dive into my old stash of unfinished scratch projects from decades ago. I came across decent basic components of an Albatross J.1 from the early 90’s. So now i try to put it together in a kind of a build story.
Here’s the stuff, wings done in the usual Woodman-method; balsa core sanded to profile, skinned with thin plasticard with scored rib details. The fuselage is a simple box construction...B0062624-3C2F-4521-8D8F-3EBDA9A592DB

Cheers, Skyhook

I’ll follow this one closely Skyhook.   The wings look just Great!  I’ve never tried that technique before but I really like your results.
