WNW 10th Escadrille Fokker DVII
« on: March 09, 2023, 03:43:38 AM »
WNW Fokker DVII (alb) finished, built from a Fokker DVII early using albatros parts.
Finished in the scheme of a post war Belgian machine flown by the 10th Escadrille and carrying its insignia; the comet. I dont know much about this aircraft other than its a Albatros built machine, its propeller make and a general idea of how the roundels looked.

it was a Perfect for the testbed for my new Cricut machine and making my own custom paint masks. as such all markings other than lozenge were painted with my own custom printed paint masks. It did take some trial and error and those who saw my posts in the under construction section will notice ive painted over the damaged sections with colours which are fairly close i like to think, Tamiya XF-52 is a dead ringer for the brown on Aviattic lozenge sets. what do you think?

this certainly isn't going to be my Last Belgian Fokker as i have plans for at least 2 or 3 more.

That's a really beautifully finished model. The painted markings are superb. I have a cricut machine too and find it very useful for making masks.

The painted repairs to the lozenge are invisible to me, I think you've done a brilliant job!

Just lovely. And so nicely different than usual crossed D.VIIs! Very finely executed. Looking forward to more.

I like it a lot!! As others have said a very fetching alternative to what one normally sees on this type, and very eyecatching!

Superbly done and a joy to view the photographs! The Belgian colours make it so unusual and... pretty! Regards, Marc.
