1:32nd scale Halberstadt Cl.II
« on: March 04, 2023, 07:03:16 AM »
Hi all,
Here's the completed shots of the Halberstadt Cl.II ‘Anni’ of Schlachtstaffel ‘Schlasta’ 27b (Battle Squadron), based at Villers-au-Tertre Aerodrome from late 1917. The pilot was Uffz. Fridoin Redenbach and the observer/gunner Oblt. R. Sigmund Kreitmair (Commanding Officer of the unit).

Thanks for your comments and support for this build.

The build log can be found here:

https://forum.ww1aircraftmodels.com/index.php?topic=13603.0

As usual a fully detailed build log in Adobe PDF format is available to download from the 'Logs' page on my web site (linked from signature block below).

Now to continue with the Hannover Cl.II build,

Mike

Another gorgeous model to your fantastic collection. Hard to pick up what I like most - simply I like everything about it!

Gorgeous!  So well executed.  The wings look so translucent and fragile.
One point though: Was the observers gun ring overpainted? I thought these were usually left wooden.

Thanks,
Tim

Hi Tim,
I wasn't sure so I went with the WNW instructions, which state light grey/green ('Tamiya' XF76).
Same for both early and late versions,

Mike
