Love it Dave, that is just beautiful. Nice to see a locally based one. Seeing the quality of the finish I am wondering why I ever bought an airbrush. Ah, the answer would be that I could never handle a brush like you! 😉

Superb finish as always Dave. It is good to see one in classic trainer markings as a silver wings to boot! The contrast between the metal panels and fabric wings and fuselage is excellent. I cannot wait to see this one for real.

Hi Brad -

I used aluminium as looking at some of the original aircraft they appear to be quite a dull silver finish in natural light.   I always use Revell acrylics which is Revell's 'Aqua colour' range.   For a brush painter like myself I find these paints easy to thin (plain water) and brush on smooth leaving no brush marks in the finish once dry.

Brilliant job Dave. The finish definitely looks sprayed rather than painted.
Although you say it is not a WW1 subject it might be worth noting that the TG has been dolled up to be all sorts of things in films from a Fokker D.VII to a Jenny. My favourite is the one in Lawrence of Arabia in Ottoman markings.
