decals at lozenges

Applying cockades or crosses to the wings, spraying clear gloss or matte varnish to fix and protect them to the wing surface is all ok.
But when you have to apply lozenge decals on both sides of the two wings:
1 how to spread them without going crazy;
2 how to be sure that they adhere well;
3 spraying clear varnish certainly protects them but does not guarantee adherence.

In my limited experience with lozenge decals my routine has been:
1) paint a fabric colour
2) seal with clear gloss
3) apply Micro Set
4) apply decals
5) dab dry with tissues
6) apply Micro Sol
7) trim if necessary
8) seal with clear matt

I use a hairdryer when using Aviattic lozenge decals. They lie down much better than without. Micro products don’t react with them.
