AIMS Decals releasing RFC/RAF roundels
« on: January 30, 2023, 01:39:31 AM »
Saw in my Hannants future releases that AIMS Decals are releasing RFC/RAF roundels in 1/32, 1/48 and 1/72 scales.
Not affiliated with AIMS, just a happy user of their decals.

That's great but what we could also really do with is a set of generic RFC/RAF serial numbers in black and white and with optional fields and shadow surrounds, like the old Blue Rider sets in all three scales.

This is great news; I'll definitely buy a few sets. We've been lacking some generic roundel decals for quite some time. Hopefully if this set is successful, we may see more releases such as serial numbers.

Cheers,

BC

I've been searching for something like this.  Glad to see it coming out soon.

Potentially suitable for captured Albatri,  allied Spad VII and Nieuport  :)

+1 on this being good news!

I have a couple of old Microscale 1/72 sheets, and they still work fine.  Their problem is size — there are basically only two sizes on the sheets:  “ too large” and “ too small”.    I finished the old Revell Camel in December, and am working on the Airfix Pup now.  Nothing on those sheets fits the wings or the fuselages!

To accurately do that I think it would be a massive undertaking, seeing as each and every manufacturer used their own style and size of serial numbers...
I would really welcome it, though!
