   WOW!!!
You have really outdone yourself on this one Mike, a beautiful model and I am particularly impressed with the flawless execution of those fabric decals. I've used them on numerous builds and really compliment you on the "seamless" results. What do you use for trimming off excess and fitting together of the different panels? I like the effect however have never been able to achieve the results you display here.
    Really well done!
Cheers,
Lance

Hi Lance,
Thanks.
It depends on the type of 'Aviattic' decals used.
As you know, some are supplied as 'cookie' cut decals.
These are effectively pre-shaped and should fit the model without any edge overlaps.
However, I've found some do overlap slightly, depending on how the model has been built.
In this case I will trim the relevant decal edge with a shielded razor blade to remove the offending overlap edge.
As these decals will stretch to a certain degree, they can be persuaded to join up at the edges if necessary.
The other type of supplied decal are the one-piece strip or A4 decal sheets, which are not 'cookie' cut to shape.
In this case I'll cut paper or tissue templates for the various areas of the model.
Then it's a case of applying a decal and then checking the next template against it and adjusting the template as necessary.
For fuselages I'll decal the side first followed by the top and undersides.
Wings are usually covered from three separate decals, carefully aligned at the joins.

Mike.

Another agreement with all of the above. As someone who always struggles with decals I find it quite stunning what you manage to achieve with them. Brilliant model! 👏

Hi all,
I thought I'd mention that while I was building this 'Dolphin', I was reminded of our 'Des'.
Sadly he passed away during his build of this model.
His part finished build log is still up on his web site.

Such a beautiful build!  I am awestruck over how realistic you have made the fabric decals look.  Awesome work with the figures as well.
