Sopwith Triplane, Kovozavody Prostejov 1/72
« on: November 21, 2022, 06:32:09 AM »
Here's KP's little triplane in French colours.
The kit itself is not too bad, except positioning the middle wing is a tricky. I added a few extras and then spent weeks trying to rig it.  Still not quite right but every time I touch it a wire breaks!  Never come so close to throwing a model in the bin!  Hope you like it.  Any comments welcome.

Looks great to me and I’m glad you were able to persevere with it.  I especially like the metallic finish on the cowling and the wrap-around of the upper wing colour.

I built that exact same triplane a year ago and still have not rigged it. I agree with you that it can be a little tricky but it looks great.

Excellent work Will, and I agree on the topside camo overlap - brilliantly done.

Love it!  An aircraft I have yet to build. Your choice livery and paintwork are exceptional.

Looks very good from here, especially the metallic finish . This is a difficult one to rig - any attempt is a good one!

Really glad you did not bin it as your KP Triplane looks great!

I've built this one in the past, so agree with your comments regarding mid wing setup

What a handsome tripehound, like others have said I'm so glad you didn't scrap it. I have 2 of these in the stash. I was so shocked at just how small the kit is and didn't even make start so well done for sticking with it and producing a lovely model to show us.

Lovely work in spite of any challenges you ran into. I also like the rarely seen French markings.

Such a pretty plane.  Nice job and I too like the French markings.
