I built this one back in 2008?  Really nice kit with resin and etch details. This is an OOB build.

Thanks for looking in!

That’s an outstanding model, thanks for sharing. Do you remember how you achieved the wing/top camoflague?  It’s really convincing.

And the plane itself is a beauty! Probably something not very often said about the often quirky and clumsy-looking Austrian types.

Thank you. The autumn leaf cammo was hand painted. I had a small remnant of Americal Gryphon autumn leaf decal to reference.
I believe I painted over the wood color with Model Master rust, Model Master dark green, and a mix of Testors flat orange mixed with  flat brown 2:1. I sponged the colors on lightly in repeating applications till it looked right to me.

Hi Tim,
A very nice model of the Lloyd.
I particularly like the way you painted the autumn leaf camouflage scheme - very convincing,

Mike

A great model of one of the best looking WWI aircraft, and a striking camouflage!

I agree with the above. Outstanding Autumn Leaf camo scheme and a great example of a Lloyd C.V

Ahhh....the first flecktarn. Excellent build and paint as usual.

I can safely bet that seeing your collection all together on your shelves would be breathtaking.
Thanks,

Lovely job Tim
Funnily enough I was just pondering whether to build this model this afternoon (Chose something slightly smaller instead, but I'll keep this near the top of the pile and make a note of this page for when the build starts  :)

Another gem which I missed first time around. The mottled finish is very convincing - some of the best that I have seen on a model. Excellent build and in the right scale too.
