Flat Hills fly-in
« on: October 12, 2022, 04:12:51 AM »
Hi all,
On Sunday my local aero club hosted a fly-in at the Flat Hills airstrip, located on a farm about one hour's drive from home. As everyone in the club who went had a job I was tasked with helping to judge the spot landings...which just so happened to be a great place to take photos! Although I have a feeling that was the organiser's intent  ;D My ride home was one of our local DH Tiger Moths and it was one of those flights that made me think "THIS is what it's all about!".

We had 40 aircraft attend from around New Zealand, from microlights to a Nanchang CJ-6a and all things inbetween. I hope you like this selection of photos.

Oh my. You are a lucky one, Zac. Not only you live in the most beautiful place in the world but you also have it inhabited by so many fine flying beasts... That DH82a is a treat... I envy you ;)

Nice weekend jaunt, Zac.
I think you got a lift in the pick of the bunch!
I enjoy your pictures but, my, you make me jealous.
