Hansa Brandenburg C-1 1/72 Wings vac kit
« on: October 06, 2022, 12:02:16 PM »
This is an older build of a Wings 72 kit. I remember it to be pretty difficult construction. I scratch built  the upper decking because it was too low. Very hard to get the upper wing alignment due to the split wing and the slanted struts.  I really like the cammo pattern on this one.  Austro Hungarian subjects are fascinating to me!

Thanks for looking in.

Lovely work.  I especially like your treatment of the linen covering of the lower sides of the wings.

Thanks for the warning about the kit's difficulty scale.  I have several of them in the stash, so I thought that would be the first vacform that I would set to.  Maybe not.

Thanks for sharing. Interesting type, especially the tilted struts must have been a pain to arrange.

Love the paintwork too.

Inward and forward sloping struts are a pain to align. You have made an excellent model from this: the paint finish is particularly eye-catching.

Great job and thanks for posting some unusual subjects.  I can see how this was a difficult build.

Another truly gorgeous build of something that is not easily built! Beautiful results!

Lovely job Tim
I picked the same kit up earlier this year, but plan on a couple of simpler vacs first  ;)

Great job Tim, I can see why the top wing alignment would be challenging to say the least. You certainly nailed it though. I love the camo scheme too.

Thank you all.  I’m looking forward to ordering the MAC kit if I can locate one. Any distributors in the US?
