Spectacular, Bertl.

And that Dora, was it built or a kit to be built? ;)

Spectacular, Bertl.

And that Dora, was it built or a kit to be built? ;)

This was a trade for a ready built Hasegawa D-9 model.
I have a small soft spot for propeller driven fighters, explicitly Focke Wulf and Messerschmitt, Spitfire, PZL etc., - I grew up in Augsburg Haunstetten, only a few 100 meters away from the old Messerschmitt factory airfield. There where Rudolf Hess took off with the Bf110 towards Scotland .... but let's leave that, that's another story Prez.
Anyway, my way to school took me there every day and at the gate was a one-o-nine.
You can imagine that as a boy in those few minutes when I passed there, every time I was a fighter pilot in my imagination.
Sorry for the short digression into long gone times ... .
In short, I have built Bf109s, Spits, Mustangs but never an Fw190 - although I like the plane very much - so seen the exchange was a win-win situation.

Thanks for the answer, Bertl. You surely have had a super motivation for your interest in aviation. And it was a good swap, indeed. :)

I can see the same exquisite detailing as in your Morane-Saulnier model Bertl!

It's almost like a signature...

This one is extremely nice, Bertl. Your fine details and very convincing weathering make it quite spectacular.

Thanks for sharing your story, too. I find WW2 aircraft very interesting as well. Currently building a 1/48 Dornier 17Z which was one of my favourites for a long time (finally getting around to it :) )
Cheers,
Gary

I am not really surprised.

… as I followed this build on flugzeugforum.de and had much time to calm down and stop cheering and squealing like a teenage girl  :)
