Hi Alan,

I say finished (this thing never wants to leave the workbench)
The final result was worth all the effort and time. Fantastic!

May be an idea for you:
I saw a ballon diorama at the Euro Model Expo. I have not asked the modeler how this beast is fixed on top of the dio, may be in the trees? I have seen no struts.

Cheers,
Frank

Thanks MoFo and Gary for your nice comments.
herbarnold99, it challenged my desire to comfort buy more stuff and make my stash bigger more than anything. Although I have done 3-4 kits on the side over the last 7 years I normally do that per year. On the other hand I have bought about 8 kits in that time.
WD, when I last perused it I noticed another error. I did say in one of the latter posts I did not know where the rip panel is but back a few pages I say it is under the nose, I looked on some archive pictures and indeed it is on the undersde of the nose. Too late to do anything now. One of the perils of long builds is you forget earlier things.
Frank, thanks for the kite balloon picture. It must be attached in some way thru something masked by the trees. A diorama is probably the better way to go when building one of these.

I heard that it all started when a bloke called Archie Duke shot an ostrich 'cause he was hungry!

And yes,it's fixed with Steel wires hidden in the background trees.
