Benz Patent-Motorwagen 1886 - ICM - 1/24

Hello Everyone,

again no aircraft from my side. Again not WW1. However, I thought it still could be interesting for you. So feel free to take a closer look on the Benz Patent-Motorwagen from 1886, the first ever built car.

It is a very nice kit from Ukrainian company ICM. Out of the box it is already beautiful. PE parts are included for the spoke wheels and chain drives.

I made some modifications. For example oiling device from clear part, an "electric box" + wires were added, ignition contact at camshaft was added, fuel pipe, cooling water pipes, "ignition key", ...

The leather belt was made from Tamiya masking tape. It was a little bit tricky but in the end it worked quite well.

Beautiful job - I’m having a crack at this one as well…. I wish I read German for your build log but a picture says a thousand words. Anyhow it looks lovely and I love the darker wood tone you used. Cheers Matt
