UK Model shops

A question for our British members...

In a few days I'll be driving from Cornwall to Heathrow. Are there any decent model shops anywhere enroute that are worth a detour and visit?

Depending on your route would suggest Frome Model Centre in Somerset or Antics in the centre of Bristol if going M5/M4. There is also another Antics store in Plymouth, not big but usually well stocked. If you're using the A303 then there are is the Salisbury Model Centre. Check this website https://ukmodelshops.co.uk/modelshops for possible others once you know your route.

As always check an individual store website for more detail, opening hours, address etc.

Not sure when you're on route, but Dorchester Art Supplies has a range of model kits and pretty much everything art related (Decent brushes for one thing) Worth asking if you are after something obscure that's vaguely art/craft related because it's a bit of an Aladdin's cave.

Salisbury is not a bad model shop, but didn't find much WW1 aero when I was last there - good selection of paints and other modelling stuff though
